The 2011 McGladrey Classic PGA Tour Golf Betting Odds and Lines

Rising star Webb Simpson is the 14/1 favorite on the PGA Tour Golf Betting Odds this week to win The McGladrey Classic, as the penultimate PGA Tour event of the season gets underway Thursday at the Sea Island Resort in St. Simons Island, Georgia.
Simpson, who won both the Wyndham Championship and the Deutsche Bank Championship earlier this year, will headline a surprisingly deep field that will tee it up at the 7,055-yard, par-70 Seaside Course. Matt Kuchar (18/1), Rickie Fowler (20/1), Charles Howell III (22/1), and David Toms (22/1) round out the Top 5 contenders behind Simpson to win this week’s tournament.
Major champions Graeme McDowell, Jim Furyk, and Zach Johnson are each at 25/1 odds, with Bo Van Pelt, Brandt Snedeker, Paul Casey, and Spencer Levin making up a talented quartet of golfers that are each listed at 28/1 odds.
The inaugural McGladrey Classic, which was held last year, was won by Hunter Mahan, who hit 59 of 72 greens in regulation and fired rounds of 66-66-66-68 to win by one stroke over this year’s FedExCup champion Bill Haas. Mahan is listed back at 50/1 odds to repeat as the tournament champion this year (while Haas will not be in the field).
Toms, Robert Allenby (33/1), and Arjun Atwal (100/1) finished T3 last year, two strokes behind Heath Slocum, with Howell and Van Pelt among those players who finished three shots off the lead. Simpson would up T12 last year along with Johnson and John Rollins (40/1) at 9-under par.
Bryce Molder, who persevered to win the Frys.com Open last week over Briny Baird after six extra playoff holes, is listed at 33/1 odds to win his second consecutive tournament this week.
